found this recipe in the newspaper several years ago and has been a favorite since.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups bisquick
  • 6 tablespoons yellow cornmeal
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup melted margarine or butter

How To Make aunt edna's cornbread

  • Step 1
    Combine bisquick, cornmeal, sugar in bowl
  • Step 2
    add eggs and milk
  • Step 3
    Mix until well-blended but don't overmix.
  • Step 4
    Add melted butter,mix gently and pour into greased 8x8 or 9x9 dish.
  • Step 5
    Bake 35-40 min or until inserted knife comes out dry.
