A perfect bread for the fall season. Baking this bread just fills the home completely with scents of heaven and it is so delicious. Warning... Very addicting!

  • 1/3 c
  • 2/3 c

  • 3 medium
    bananas,extra ripe are the best
  • 1 1/4 c
  • 1 c
    bran cereal, not flakes
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 3/4 c
    dried apricots, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 c
    walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    pumpkin pie spices

How to Make Apricot-Banana Bread


  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix well.
  2. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt, and pumpkin pie spice.
  3. In a small bowl, Combine mashed bananas and buttermilk.
  4. Combine flour mixture and banana mixture alternately to the creamed mixture.
    Stir in bran, apricots, and nuts.
  5. Pour into a greased 9X5X3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55-60 minutes or until bread test done. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
