Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup applesauce
- 1/3 cup molasses
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 - egg, lightly beaten
- - vegetable cooking spray
- - applesauce, optional
How To Make applesauce gingerbread

Step 1Combine first 7 ingredients, and stir well. Combine applesauce, molasses, oil, and egg in a small bowl, and add applesauce mixture to flour mixture, stirring well.

Step 2Spoon batter into a 9-inch square baking pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350* for 25 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm topped with additional applesauce, if desired.
