Ingredients
- 1 large Granny Smith apple, peeled and grated
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons golden raisins, chopped
- 2/3 cup heavy cream
How To Make apple scone

Step 1Place the apple in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals until softened. Let cool and drain off liquid.

Step 2Add chopped raisins to apple.

Step 3In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon.

Step 4Add butter and mix with your hands until coarse crumbs are formed.

Step 5Stir in the apple, raisin mix. Toss to coat.

Step 6Add cream and stir until combined.

Step 7Spray a scone pan with cooking spray.

Step 8Place the dough in the pan. Then freeze while the oven is preheating.

Step 9Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 10When preheated, add water to empty scone spaces.

Step 11Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
