A woman at work gave this to my hubby, and when he brought it home and I tried it, I was hooked. You need the starter batter too, recipe is in JAP.

  • 1 1/4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 c
    chopped nuts or raisins
  • 5/8 c

How to Make Amish Friendship Bread


  1. To starter batter, add remaining. Put into well greased and sugared (NOT FLOURED, Sugared is correct direction) loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees 50-55 min. Check after 45 min. Can also be put into 3 small loaf pans.
