Amish Cinnamon Bread
1 cbutter, softened
2 cwhite sugar
2 cbuttermilk or 2 cps milk with 2 t vinegar
2 tspbaking soda
1 cchopped walnuts
How to Make Amish Cinnamon Bread
- Cream together butter,2 cps of sugar, and eggs. Add milk,flour,baking soda and nuts. In a separate bowl combine the 2/3 cup sugar and 2 teaspoon of cinnamon and set aside.
- Grease two loaf pans and pour 1/2 of batter into each pan. Sprinkle 3/4 of cinnamon mixture on each batter, then add remaining batter to each. Then sprinkle the last of cinnamon mixture on top of each loaf pan.
- Swirl with a knife on top of each loaf. Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes pending on your oven and toothpick comes out clean.
- Once bread is done cool on wire rack while still in pan, then flip over and let sit till falls out.
