- 5 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
How To Make almost homemade cinnamon rolls
-
Step 1Roll the thawed bread dough to an approximately 12x14" rectangle. Spread evenly with butter. Combine the sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle generously over the bread dough, but don't sprinkle completely to the edges so that the bread will roll better and remain rolled better. Roll up jelly-roll style, starting at a long edge and rolling tightly. Cut into approximately 1" slices and put into a greased 11" pan. Cover with a kitchen towel and set the pan in a warm place to rise for 1-2 hours or till double in size. Uncover and bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or till browned and the rolls are cooked through.
-
Step 2If desired, make a glaze out of powdered sugar and milk and drizzle over the warm cinnamon rolls. May also add chopped pecans or raisins to the cinnamon and sugar prior for a delicious variation on cinnamon rolls.
