I love to eat this with my favorite soups like Potato Chowder.

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 can cream corn
  • 1/2 cup monterey jack cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 can green chiles, chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

How To Make yummy company cornbread

  • Step 1
    In a bowl cream together butter and sugar.
  • Step 2
    Add eggs and cream corn and mix.
  • Step 3
    Add salt, pepper and cheeses and mix.
  • Step 4
    Add flour, cornmeal and baking powder and mix until thoroughly mix.
  • Step 5
    Bake in a 9x13 inch baking pan. Preheat oven to 350 then when you bake the cornbread turn the oven to 300 and bake for 1 hour.
  • Step 6
    Serve hot.
