Ingredients
- 1 cup + 2 tbsp all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup dry milk powder
- 1/3 cup vegetable shortening
- 1/8 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon onion flakes, dehydrated
- 1 x large egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup white wine or red wine
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano, dried
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
How To Make wine & cheese bread

Step 1Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

Step 2Sift together flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, salt, soda & dry milk. Cut in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Add sugar, minced onion, egg, milk, wine & oregano. Mix thoroughly.

Step 3Spread mixture in a greased 8" or 9" round pan & sprinkle with cheese.

Step 4Bake for 15 - 20 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
