Ingredients

  • 1 pound unsliced round loaf sourdough bread
  • 1 pound pepper jack cheese - shredded
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted (no substitute)
  • 1/2 cup green onions - finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons poppyseeds

How To Make stuffed sourdough bread

  • Step 1
    Cut bread loaf lengthwise and crosswise into 1" squares without cutting completely through the bottom crust.
  • Step 2
    Insert shredded cheese between cut bread squares
  • Step 3
    Combine butter, green onions, garlic and poppy seeds; drizzle over the bread and cheese evenly.
  • Step 4
    Wrap bread in foil; place on cookie sheet
  • Step 5
    Bake 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Unwrap foil and bake 10 minutes longer or until cheese melts.
  • Step 6
    Serve warm, pull apart to eat.
