  • 1 lb
    unsliced round loaf sourdough bread
  • 1 lb
    pepper jack cheese - shredded
  • 1/2 c
    butter, melted (no substitute)
  • 1/2 c
    green onions - finely chopped
  • 1 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 2 tsp

How to Make Stuffed Sourdough Bread


  1. Cut bread loaf lengthwise and crosswise into 1" squares without cutting completely through the bottom crust.
  2. Insert shredded cheese between cut bread squares
  3. Combine butter, green onions, garlic and poppy seeds; drizzle over the bread and cheese evenly.
  4. Wrap bread in foil; place on cookie sheet
  5. Bake 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Unwrap foil and bake 10 minutes longer or until cheese melts.
  6. Serve warm, pull apart to eat.
