    butter
  • 1 c
    cream-style corn
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 1 c
    self-rising corn meal
  • 1/2
    medium onion, grated (optional)
  • 2
    eggs, beaten

How to Make Sour Cream Corn Bread

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat the butter in an 8 X 8 baking pan or an 8-inch cast-iron skillet at 350 until melted, tilting the pan to coat.
  2. Combine the corn, sour cream, cornmeal, onion and the eggs in a bowl and mix well.
  3. Pour in the melted butter and mix well.
  4. Spoon into the prepared pan.
  5. Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes or until brown.
