  • 1/2 c
    Stoneground Cornmeal
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1 tsp
    Baking Powder
  • 1
  • 2 tsp
    canola oil
  • 1/4 c
  • 1/2 c
    Boiling Water
  • ·
    Pan Spray
  • ·
    Small-8-9 inch Skillet with Lid

How to Make Skillet Cornbread


  1. Mix first 4 ingredients in small bowl.
  2. Mix next three ingredients in small bowl.
  3. Warm skillet(lid on) & spray with pan spray.
  4. Boil Water
  5. Mix wet ingredients into dry. Then mix in boiling water. Stir only until well combined. Pour into skillet & cover with lid. Cook until browned & with wide spatula, flip over. Continue to cook (without lid) until firm to the touch -- total time about 5 minutes. This is on medium heat. Cut into wedges and serve warm. This is great when you are in a hurry since it mixes in a flash and cooks really fast.
