sesame onion rolls
These are based on the Beautiful Burger Buns recipe from King Arthur Flour. I swapped out part of the flour for whole wheat and added some flavor. They make good sandwich or burger rolls, or dinner rolls.

How To Make sesame onion rolls
-
Step 1Combine and knead dough ingredients together until smooth - I just pop it in the Kitchenaid mixer.
-
Step 2Cover and let rise 1-2 hours until doubled.
-
Step 3Deflate and divide dough into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into a ball, then flatten slightly.
-
Step 4Arrange dough on a lightly greased or parchment lined baking sheet, cover and let rise an hour.
-
Step 5In a small bowl, combine egg white and water to form eggwash. Brush over tops of buns gently.
-
Step 6Sprinkle over any combination of seasoning toppings you like - I don't measure, I just shake until it has however much I want, but I tried to estimate how much. I like a lot on there!
-
Step 7Bake in a preheated 375 oven 15 - 18 minutes until golden.
