Ingredients
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 3/4 cup scaled milk
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 1 cup flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
How To Make scotch scones

Step 1Pour hot milk over oatmeal, mix well. Add shortening and let stand until cold.

Step 2In a bowl sift together flour, baking soda, salt and sugar. Add to oatmeal and mix well. Roll out 3/4" thick and cut in rounds. Cook on a greased griddle about 20 minutes, turning when halfway cooked.
