pepperoni puffs

Oh my! and they are sooooo easy to make. Do not remain alone in a room with these, or there will be none to serve to your guests.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (i used ground)
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 - egg, lightly beaten
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese (i used pepper jack)
  • 4 ounces pepperoni. diced (i used boarhead stick pepperoni)
  • 1/2 cup spaghetti or pizza sauce (i use newman's sockaroni)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, diced (i was out but will use it next time)

How To Make pepperoni puffs

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  • Step 2
    Grease a 24-cup mini muffin pan (I used shortning spray)
  • Step 3
    In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and oregano
  • Step 4
    Whisk in milk and egg
  • Step 5
    Stir in pepperoni and cheese
  • Step 6
    Let stand 10 inutes
  • Step 7
    Stir and divide among the baking cups
  • Step 8
    Bake 20 - 25 minutes. Until puffed and golden.
  • Step 9
    Heat sauce and sprinkle half the basil over the sauce and half over the puffs, if desired.
