I was trying to decide what kind of bread to cook for supper and I just kind of put this together. I really don't have any measurements but I will do the best I can. I was ask to post this. The bread turned out really great.

  • 1 1/2 c
    self rising flour
  • 1
    jalapeno, seeded and chopped very small
  • 1/4
    of a small onion, chopped very small
  • 1/2 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 3 Tbsp
    melted butter
  • 1/4 c
    sour cream
  • ·
    enough buttermilk to combine all ingredients

How to Make Jalapeno Waffle Bread


  1. Combine all ingredients except the buttermilk. Add enough buttermilk to combine everything together to make a thick batter. Spoon into a hot waffle iron sprayed with cooking spray. Can also be cooked in a skillet with a little melted butter in bottom of skillet, brown on both sides on a medium low heat.
