Ingredients
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2-3 tablespoons jalapeno peppers-chopped
- 1/2 cup onions-chopped
- 1/2 cup green onions-chopped
- 1 can cream style corn
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs-beaten
- 1 cup cheddar cheese-shredded
- - extra cheese for top
How To Make jalapeno cornbread

Step 1Preheat oven to 350'. Put oil in cast iron skillet (or oven proof skillet) to heat as oven heats.

Step 2Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.

Step 3Once oil is heated (I usually let heat until oven is done preheating) add oil to bowl. Stirring well.

Step 4Pour mixture into hot skillet. Sprinkle cheese over the top.

Step 5Bake for 50-60 minutes.
