- 3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup golden raisins
- 1 tablespoon caraway seeds
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
How To Make irish soda bread

Step 1Heat oven to 350 degrees. Sift together dry ingredients. Stir in raisins and caraway seeds. Mix in buttermilk to make a semi-sticky dough.

Step 2Knead 3 to 5 minutes on a floured surface. Shape into a ball.

Step 3Bake in an oiled and floured round cake pan for about 1 hour. Bread is done when you tap it with your knuckle and it makes a hollow sound.
