I just love dumplings. My DH, not as much..so if I cook them I have to eat them. So no photo for a while. I have tried a whole lot of recipes for dumplings and this is the one! I did tweak a few things. This can be used for a chicken or beef stew or soup. Allrecipes.com: ronnastefan

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 3 tablespoons butter (cold)
- 3/4 cup milk (use buttermilk if you have extra)
How To Make herbed dumplings

Step 1In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and spices together with a wire whip.

Step 2Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Step 3Gradually add milk, using just enough to form a thick bater.

Step 4Drop by rounded tablespoons into your simmering soup or stew. Cover and allow to cook for 15 minutes. NO PEEKING
