Incredibly delicious sourdough dinner rolls made with freshly milled flour. Not only are these dinner rolls super tasty, but they are also very nutritious! Perfect for the holiday table!

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2-4 cups freshly milled flour
  • 1/2 cup sourdough starter
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt

How To Make fresh milled sourdough dinner rolls

  • Step 1
    In the bowl of a stand mixer add the water, sourdough starter, olive oil, and honey. Pulse until combined.
  • Step 2
    Add 2 cups of the flour. Cover and let soak for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Step 3
    Add the salt and continue adding flour 1/2 cup at a time on low speed until you have a soft dough that cleans the sides of the bowl.
  • Step 4
    Knead on speed 2 for 10 minutes or until the dough is stretchy and smooth.
  • Step 5
    Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap.

    Let rise overnight or for 8-24 hours in a warm spot.

    The next day, turn dough onto a lightly floured work surface.

    Divide into 12 equal pieces.
