easy cheesy garlic bread

Many years ago I was at a friend's home for dinner and she served this wonderful Garlic Bread. I was so impressed that I asked if she would share the recipe and she gladly did. I couldn't believe how lucky I was when I found out how easy it was to prepare! I have wowed many people when I serve it at a gathering and they always ask me how to make it. To me, this is the best Garlic Bread that I have ever eaten and I will never go back to mixing butter and garlic together and spreading it on the bread before broiling it. This is just the best!

Ingredients

  • 1 medium loaf sour dough french bread
  • 1/2 - 1 cups butter, softened (amount depends on size of loaf)
  • - garlic salt
  • - parmesan cheese
  • - paprika

How To Make easy cheesy garlic bread

  • Step 1
    With a serrated knife, cut your loaf of Sour Dough Garlic Bread in half lengthways.
  • Step 2
    Spread the softened butter on both halves.
  • Step 3
    Lightly sprinkle Garlic Salt on both halves (enough to taste but not overpowering).
  • Step 4
    Fairly liberally, sprinkle the Grated Parmesan Cheese on both halves (Kraft Grated Parmesan Cheese in a can may also be used).
  • Step 5
    Lightly sprinkle Paprika on both halves to add color.
  • Step 6
    Broil both halves until they are golden brown and bubbly.
  • Step 7
    Slice, serve and wait for the compliments!
