  • 2 1/2 cups wondra flour
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 cup cut-up dates
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 - egg

How To Make date-nut bread

  • Step 1
    Combine all the ingredients in one easy step to make this flavorful, date-nut quick bread.
  • Step 2
    Heat oven to 350*. Grease loaf pan, 9x5x3 inches. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Pour batter into pan. Bake until wooden pick inserted in the center comes our clean, 60-65 minutes. Immediately remove from pan; cool completely before slicing. Store tightly covered.
