My friend Darla gave me this recipe - I would add a little bit of black olives and a touch of hot sauce before baking - I had a recipe like this 30 years ago I found in Gourmet - great bread - enjoy!

  • 1/2 c
    water 80 - 90 f
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter or margarine
  • 1 1/3 c
    bread flour
  • 1/3 c
    shredded cheddar cheese (the sharper the better flavor)
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2 1/4 tsp
    fast rising or bread machine yeast
