My aunt made this bread for a family gathering, and I couldn't get enough! I had to have the recipe. Now I make it for my friends, and they gobble it all up.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 pound Monterey Jack cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 can chopped green chiles
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • - sourdough bread, sliced

How To Make chile cheese bread

  • Step 1
    Mix the butter and the cheese.
  • Step 2
    Add the mayonnaise, green chiles, and garlic.
  • Step 3
    Spread the mixture thickly on slices of sourdough.
  • Step 4
    Broil until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Step 5
    Slice in half for serving.
