I've made the regular beer bread with the usual 3 ingredients,self rising flour,beer and sugar,but when I found these variations online,I was happy to try something new

How to Make Beer Bread with Variations

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all ingredients together in bowl, pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake in a preheated 350 deg oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
    Beer Bread Variations: substitute these ingredients INSTEAD of beer:

    Hawaiian Bread - 12 oz Mountain Dew
    Cinn-A-Dew - 12 oz Mountain Dew, 1/2 c. cinnamon chips, sprinkle with 1 T. sugar
    Low Fat Hawaiian or Cinn-A-Dew - 12 oz Diet Mountain Dew, spray Pam, no butter, no sugar
    Ginger Bread - 12 oz Root Beer, 1/2 cup molasses,1 T.Chai tea
    Cherry Bread - 12 oz Black Cherry Soda and 1/4 c chopped maraschino cherries
    Cherry Bread Variation - 12 oz Dr. Pepper and 1/4 c chopped cherries
    Cranberry Orange Bread - 12 oz Orange Juice and 1/4 c chopped cranberries
    Orange Bread - 12 oz Orange Crush and drained 1/4 c mandarin oranges
    Peanut Butter Bread -12 oz Cream Soda and 1/2 c. peanut butter chips.Top with vanilla glaze
    Banana Bread - 2 cups ripe bananas and 8 oz of Sunny Delight.
    Pumpkin Bread - 12 oz. Orange Soda, 12 oz. can pure
    pumpkin, 2 tsp. Instant Mulling Spice (sprinkle on top)
    Pizza Dough - 1 1/4 cup beer. Mix well. Cover,let sit 5 min. Roll onto floured surface, put into pizza pan,bake at 325 deg for 15 - 20 minutes. Drop Biscuits - 12 oz. Buttermilk,drop by tablespoons onto baking sheet,bake 400 deg 12-15 mins.
    White Chocolate Bread - 1 Can Vanilla Coke,6 oz white chocolate chips

    To Make the following use Beer add:
    Herb Bread - 1 T. mixed dry herbs
    Garlic Bread - 1/2 C. Parmesan Cheese and 1 T.minced garlic
    Italian Bread - Add dried tomato and garlic pesto
    Bacon Loaf - Add 1/2 c cooked,crumbled bacon
    Seasoned Bread - Add 2 T. Season Salt
    Focciaca Bread - Add 3 T.sun dried tomato and 3 T.pesto,spread to 1" thickness on baking stone, brush with olive oil,bake for 15 - 20 minute
