this recipe was invented on a whim by throwing what I had together for dinner. It was a hit! I did not measure anything so all weights are approximate. Adjust to your taste.

    loaf frozen bread dough, thawed & allowed to rise for 8 hours
  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 lb
    bacon, chopped
  • 1 medium
    onion, diced
  • 1 large
    tomato, diced
  • 3 Tbsp
    salad cubed pickles
  • 3 Tbsp
  • 1 small
    can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    mild salsa
  • 12 oz
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ·
    salt and pepper

How to Make Bacon Cheeseburger Bread


  1. brown ground beef and bacon in large skillet.
  2. add remaining ingredients; hold 4 oz. cheese. cook through.
  3. in a greased baking dish add bread dough, slice down middle.
  4. fill with mixture and try to pinch edges together.
  5. bake for 15 minutes in a pre heated 350 degree oven.
  6. remove and add remaining cheese. return to oven for 10 minutes or until cheese melts.
  7. let sit for 5 minutes before slicing. enjoy!
