Ingredients
- 1/2 cup oats flour, see tip
- 1 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
- 2 teaspoons dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
- 2 teaspoons black sesame seeds (kala til)
- 2 tablespoons fat free, sugar free yogurt (dahi)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic paste (lehsun)
- 1 teaspoon green chilli paste
- 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
- 2 teaspoons canola oil
- - salt or salt sub to taste
- - whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta) for rolling
How To Make baked oat puri, diabetic

Step 1Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and knead into a stiff dough using just enough water and this may vary by season.

Step 2Divide the dough into 20 equal portions and roll out each portion into a 75 mm. (3”) diameter circle using a little whole wheat flour for rolling.

Step 3Prick the rolled out puris with a fork at regular spacing.

Step 4Arrange them on a baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven at 200°c (400°f) for 20 minutes, turning them once after 10 minutes or till they turn crisp.

Step 5Serve or store in an air-tight container.

Step 6Tip: For 1/2 cup of oat flour, blend ½ cup of quick cooking rolled oats to a smooth powder.
