  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 small
    onion chopped
  • 15 oz
    package krustez honey corn muffin mix
  • 4-5 slice
    crisp bacon
  • 27 oz
    can of chili beans w/ sauce (do not drain)
  • 15 oz
    can of manwhich
  • 2 c
    sharp shredded cheddar cheese

How to Make Sloppy Joe Casserole


  1. Preheat oven, to 400F. Grease a 13x9 inch baking dish. In a bowl prepare corn muffin mix as directed: add in bacon pieces, top off with 1/2 cup of cheese. Bake for 10 minutes and remove to rack. While corn bread is cooking; In a large saute pan fry onions and hamburger;drain. Add in the hamburger, beans and Manwhich. Pour mixture over corn bread and sprinkle with rest of cheese. Return to oven and bake 12 minutes.
  2. *****variations**** cut up green pepper in the cornbread, jalapeno for a hot variation, hot dog pieces for kids. Great for potluck or camping.
