    flour
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp
    ginger
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • 1
    egg
  • 1/2 c
    oil
  • 1/2 c
    yogurt
  • 1
    pear, peeled, cored and finely chopped
  • 3 Tbsp
    chopped walnuts
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar in the raw

How to Make Pear-Walnut Muffins

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Mix together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, spices and salt.
  3. In a bowl, beat egg; stir in oil and yogurt. Add to flour mixture; stir until just combined. Stir in pear.
  4. Place paper liners in muffin tin. Fill 2/3 full with batter.
  5. For topping: combine walnuts and raw sugar. Sprinkle onto batter in cups.
  6. Bake 20 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
  7. Enjoy!
