Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 - egg
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1 - pear, peeled, cored and finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons chopped walnuts
- 2 tablespoons sugar in the raw
How To Make pear-walnut muffins

Step 1Preheat oven to 400.

Step 2Mix together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, spices and salt.

Step 3In a bowl, beat egg; stir in oil and yogurt. Add to flour mixture; stir until just combined. Stir in pear.

Step 4Place paper liners in muffin tin. Fill 2/3 full with batter.

Step 5For topping: combine walnuts and raw sugar. Sprinkle onto batter in cups.

Step 6Bake 20 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
