  • 1 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 3/4 c
    canola oil
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, light
  • 1 large
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 medium
    pear, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 c
    pecans, chopped

How to Make Pear And Pecan Muffins


  1. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Line a 12 cup muffin tin with paper liners.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Set aside.
  4. Stir together oil, sugar and brown sugar until well combined.
  5. Stir in egg and vanilla, mixing well. Add flour mixture and mix just until combined. Stir in pears and pecans.
  6. Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until edges are browned and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
