My Mother, Mary Alice, made up this recipe when she was in her 80's! She always made an extra batch when she knew I was coming to visit or when she visited me, because she knew how much I liked them. She lived to be 96 years old. I still make them for breakfast...especially when the weather changes to cool mornings at the beginning of fall in the South.

How to Make Mother Mary's Muffins

Step-by-Step

  1. Spray with cooking oil a 12 muffin tin and a 6 muffin tin. Fill with muffin batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
  2. *Note: I use instant oatmeal packets which already contain the spices so I do not add any spices to the batter.
