These are savory muffins. I like to serve them with roast beef.

  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
  • 4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    chopped fresh thyme
  • 1/4 tsp
    chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1/4 tsp
    chopped fresh marjoram
  • 1/4 tsp
    chopped fresh sage
  • 2
    eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 c
  • 4 Tbsp
    (1/2 stick) melted butter
  • 4
    roasted garlic cloves, pureed

How to Make Garlic Herb Corn Muffins


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Sift together the first 5 ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
  3. Mix in the herbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, butter and garlic.
  5. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients; pour the eggs mixture in the well. Stir until smooth.
  6. Fill a well buttered muffin pan two-thirds full.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until nicely browned and baked through.
