I found this in a old cookbook from 1959..I LOVE old cookbooks
How to Make Ever Ready Blend
- Mix flour ,baking powder and salt together...
- Sift all together into a large mixing bowl..
- Cut shortening into the dry ingredients with a pastry blender or with 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal...
- Store in covered glass jars or crockery bowl for several weeks..
I store mine in the Fridge ..
- Makes 5 3/4 quarts
