double chocolate muffins
Made these this morning with my youngest daughter. They were a huge hit with my crowd and the recipe makes enough for a quick snack later too!

Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 6 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 3/4 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (your fav)
- 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 3 - eggs
- 1 cup milk
How To Make double chocolate muffins

Step 1Preheat oven to 375

Step 2Sift flour, cocoa, baking soda,baking powder and salt.

Step 3In another bowl, toss the chocolate chips and nuts with 3 tsp of the sifted mixture.

Step 4Place sugars and butter in a large bowl; beat with a mixer at medium speed until well combined (about 3 minutes). Add vanilla. Beat in the eggs one at a time.

Step 5Add flour mixture and milk alternately to granulated sugar mixture, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.

Step 6Spoon batter into muffin cups lined with muffin cup liners. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until cake springs back when touched lightly in center or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
