delicate butter muffins
These nutmeg scented muffins are wonderful. These are not a really sweet muffin, but so buttery and good. I like to spread alittle apple butter on mine while it"s still warm.

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 - egg
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup melted butter
How To Make delicate butter muffins

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a muffin tin (large size muffins) with non-stick spray. Set aside.

Step 2In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt. In another bowl, beat the egg with the milk, and then stir in vanilla. Add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients and stir with a fork until just combined. Stir in melted butter.

Step 3Fill each cup 1/2 full and bake for 25 minutes, or until muffins are golden brown and firm to touch. Serve hot with butter & jam. ( my preference apple butter)
