creamy banana bread

I have been making this for years and everyone loves it. I have made it as a loaf or as muffins for the kids to take on the bus. Hope you enjoy it as much as we have!

Ingredients

  • BATTER MIX
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 cup banana,mashed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • TOPPING
  • 3/4 cup pecans, in pieces
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

How To Make creamy banana bread

  • Step 1
    Pre-heat oven to 350. Cream together the Butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  • Step 2
    Gradually add sugar. Beat until fluffy.
  • Step 3
    Add one egg at a time. Stir in bananas and vanilla.
  • Step 4
    Add flour, Baking Powder, Baking Soda, and mix until moist. If you want to change it up a bit add some mini chocolate chips to your liking.
  • Step 5
    Mix the topping ingredients.
  • Step 6
    you can decide what you want to use..either muffin tins..9x13 baking dish or a bundt pan. Spray the pan with oil and pour the batter in. Sprinkle with the topping mix. Bake for 45 minutes. Check with a toothpick
