Ingredients

  • 2 cups four
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 - egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 10 ounces frozen sweet cherries, thawed and chopped

How To Make cherry muffins

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line muffin tin with paper cups.
  • Step 2
    Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder & baking soda in medium bowl.
  • Step 3
    In a large bowl, whisk egg, then whisk in milk, sour cream, melted butter and almond extract until smooth.
  • Step 4
    Using a wooden spoon stir in the cherries.
  • Step 5
    Stir in the flour mixture until moistened.
  • Step 6
    Fill muffin tin 3/4 full.
  • Step 7
    Bake 22-25 minutes, or until tops are browned.
  • Step 8
    Let cool in pan 10 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool.
  • Step 9
