This recipe comes from my Southern Living 1991 Annual cookbook. I like it because the flavors are a little more unusual; and delicious! Try them you'll like them!

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine (i use butter)
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2/3 cup raisins
- 1 - egg, beaten
- 1 cup milk
How To Make cheddar raisin muffins

Step 1Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl; cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in cheese and raisins. Make a well in center of mixture.

Step 2Combine egg and milk; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened. Spoon batter into greased and floured muffin pans. Bake at 425F for 20-25 minutes. Remove from pans. Yeild: 14 muffins.
