Ingredients
- 1 cup boiling water
- 2 cups kelloggs all bran cereal
- 1 cup nabisco 100% bran cereal
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 - eggs
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup raisins
How To Make bran muffins

Step 1In small bowl, combine cereals. Pour boiling water over cereals and set aside.

Step 2Blend sugar and oil together with electric mixer. Add buttermilk and eggs.

Step 3Sift flour, salt and baking powder together. Gradually add to sugar mixture.

Step 4Fold in cereal mixture and raisins.

Step 5Pour mixture into sprayed muffin tins and bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.

Step 6BATTER KEEPS IN REFRIGERATOR FOR DAYS. DO NOT STIR AGAIN! Simply dip out what you need and bake. The chilled batter will have to bake for a bit longer. I bake until the top springs back.
