This was Grandma W's sister in law, and she made these muffins since Grandpa W liked them so much. Thank goodness she shared the recipe! The hubby likes Blueberry Muffins about as much as Grandpa did!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 - egg, well beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 6 tablespoons shortening, melted
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

How To Make blueberry muffins, aunt dorothy wieliczko's

  • Step 1
    Sift together flour, powder, salt and 1/4 c sugar. Combine egg, milk and shortening and add all at once to flour mixture. Stir until dry ingredients are moist but still lumpy. Fold in blueberries. Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full and sprinkle with remaining sugar. Bake at 400 degrees about 25 min.
