This tempting recipe will get you to eat whole grains and I love the bananas in these and the nuts- just enough to help you keep on your diet- who am I kidding- I'll eat more than one of these!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups quick oatmeal, uncooked
- 1/4 cup brown sugar,packed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup melted butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon each of ground ginger, and cinnamon
- 1 dash nutmeg
- 1 large egg, slightly beaten
- 1/4 cup sour milk or evaporated milk
- 1 cup mashed very ripe bananas
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Step 1Heat oven to 425^. Lightly grease a large cookie sheet.Set aside. In a large bowl combine flour, baking powder oatmeal,sugars , and spices ; mix well. Combine milk,melted butter and egg in a small bowl and mix well then add to the dry ingredients; mix just until dry ingredients are moistene. Stir in vanilla, bananas and nuts until incorporated , but gently. For each muffin top, drop batter by 4 Tablespoons for each top, onto prepared cookie sheet. Bake 13-15 minutes or until golden brown. These freeze well.
