Ingredients
- 1/2 cup real butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, freshly grated
- 1/3 cup buttermilk
- 3 - bananas, riped and mashed well
- 1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped fine & toasted
How To Make banana bread

Step 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease two 9 x 5 x 3" loaf pans. Set aside.

Step 2Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one a time, beating until smooth. Stir in vanilla.

Step 3Sift flour with spices; add to butter mixture, alternating with buttermilk. Mix until well mixed.

Step 4Fold in bananas and nuts. Divide batter between pans.

Step 5Bake 1 1/4 hours, or 1 hour & 15 minutes. Cool before slicing.
