bacon-cheese muffins

This is a breakfast muffin I have been cooking for my family for years. Even though my kids are grown they still think this is a special treat when I cook them. I have double the recipe now so everyone will have more than one. Really great with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate on a cold morning.

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups self rising flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/3 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 - egg
- 3/4 cup milk
How To Make bacon-cheese muffins

Step 1Mix flour and sugar. Cut in margarine until resembles coarse meal. Mix in cheese and bacon. Beat egg and milk together, add to dry ingredients. Fill muffin cups about 3/4 full. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
