apple pie muffins
I got the idea to make these for an open house so my home would smell warm and inviting... who doesn't love the smell of warm apple pie?

Ingredients
- 6 ounces apple turnover flavored yogurt
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 3 large eggs, room temperature
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 can apple pie filling
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup cinnamon/sugar
How To Make apple pie muffins

Step 1preheat oven to 400 degrees, line muffin tins with baking cups

Step 2chop up the apples in the pie filling into small chunks

Step 3combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside

Step 4combine the wet ingredients in a large bowl

Step 5add the dry ingredients and stir just until combined (don't over mix)

Step 6fill muffin cups 3/4 full, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
