Ingredients
- 1-3/4 cup plus 2 tbsp. flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3/4 cup sweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup fresh cranberries, coarsely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
How To Make apple cranberry muffins

Step 1In a medium bowl, combine 1-3/4 cups of the flour, 1/4 cup of the sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. In a small bowl, combine egg, milk, applesauce and butter; mix well.

Step 2Add egg mixture to flour mixture; stir until just moistened. Batter will be lumpy; do not overmix.

Step 3In small bowl, toss cranberries with remaining 2 tbsp. sugar; fold into batter.

Step 4Spoon batter evenly into 12 greased 2-3/4 inch muffin cups.

Step 5In measuring cup, combine remaining 1/4 cup of sugar and the cinnamon. Sprinkle over tops of muffins.

Step 6Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Cool on wire rack.
