My sister in law gave me this recipe after our family spent a week with them. Every morning she would pop these into the oven and serve with breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs, beaten
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 quart buttermilk
  • 1 cup salad oil
  • 5 cups flour
  • 5 teaspoons baking soda
  • 6 cups bran flakes

How To Make 6 week muffins

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350.
  • Step 2
    In a very large bowl mix eggs, sugar, salt, buttermilk, oil, flour and soda.
  • Step 3
    Stir in bran flakes.
  • Step 4
    Fill muffin cups 2/3 full and bake for 20-22 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Blueberries, raisins, mashed bananas or nuts may be added.
  • Step 6
    Store unused batter in refrigerator and enjoy freshly baked muffins every day!
