Usually I have to eat a bunch of pancakes to get full, but the steel cut oats provide great nourishment and so I only end up having to eat a few pancakes to get full.

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    steel cut oats
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    water

How to Make Steel Cut Oats Pancakes

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl
  2. Combine the wet ingredients in a small bowl
  3. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.
  4. Pour 1/4 cup batter onto a greased griddle and cook till golden brown on each side
  5. I enjoy eating these with either fresh cut up fruit or apple sauce
