pita chips
My husband and I went to a culinary meet-up (13 people get together to cook a several course meal), and one of the attendees brought these chips with her own canned salsa (look up Thick Tomato Salsa). These are awesome! Lots of flavor. . .

Ingredients
- 16 ounces pitas, sliced in 8's and halves separated
- 2 cups olive oil
- 8 large garlic cloves, pressed
- - kosher salt
- - freshly ground black pepper
How To Make pita chips
-
Step 1Spray several cookie sheets with a vegetable non-stick spray such as Pam.
-
Step 2Combine the oil, garlic, kosher salt, and pepper in a deep bowl. Add the pita chips and toss to coat with the oil mixture. Place coated pita chips on the cookie sheets. Bake in a 425*F oven for 10 minutes. Watch baking carefully as chips can get too brown or burn easily.
