Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon powdered milk
- 1/2 cup shortening or butter
- 3/4 cup warm water

How To Make navajo fry bread

Step 1Mix dry ingredients, use a fork to add shortening.

Step 2Add enough water to make dough. Knead until dough is soft not sticky

Step 3Form into 2 inch balls and flatten into a 6 inch circle.

Step 4Fry each side in oil about 1 min. until brown. Flip over and fry other side. Drain on paper towels.

Step 5Serve with cinnamon sugar or use as a base for taco meat and fixings.
