I decided to post some more pancakes that have never been posted before from one of my culinary cookbooks. These are a delicious variety to any breakfast morning. Enjoy! Web Photo!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons lemon rind, grated
  • 2 teaspoons lemon, fresh juice
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 - egg white
  • - lemon-scented honey
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 - lemon, thinly sliced

How To Make lemon-poppy seed hot cakes

  • Step 1
    Combine first five ingredients, stir well. Combine milk and next five ingredients); stir well. Add to flour mixture; stirring until smooth.
  • Step 2
    Spoon about 1/3 cup batter for each pancake onto a hot griddle. Turn pancakes when tops are covered with bubbles and edges look cooked. Serve with Lemon-Scented Honey.
