I decided to post some more pancakes that have never been posted before from one of my culinary cookbooks. These are a delicious variety to any breakfast morning. Enjoy! Web Photo!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    poppy seeds
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 3/4 c
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 2 tsp
    lemon rind, grated
  • 2 tsp
    lemon, fresh juice
  • 1
    egg
  • 1
    egg white
  • ·
    lemon-scented honey
  • 1 c
    honey
  • 1/2
    lemon, thinly sliced

How to Make Lemon-Poppy Seed Hot Cakes

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine first five ingredients, stir well. Combine milk and next five ingredients); stir well. Add to flour mixture; stirring until smooth.
  2. Spoon about 1/3 cup batter for each pancake onto a hot griddle. Turn pancakes when tops are covered with bubbles and edges look cooked. Serve with Lemon-Scented Honey.
